S Rank Adventurer Deported For Innocent Charges Chapter 58

Alise told Rogel about her mission at Labyrinth city when she returned

“Ho, the labyrinth city? It’s been such a long time.”

Rogel was squinting at her, a nostalgic look on his face as he reminisced about the past.

“It was, wasn’t it?”

Rogel was a fairly high-ranking adventurer by the time he was 30 years old.

He must have gone to the labyrinth city to capture the labyrinth.

”I think I’ll be away from the royal capital for a while. I’d like to ask you to manage the mansion during that time.”

“Of course. We will protect the mansion in your absence, Miss.”

Both Rogel and Cecile are excellent servants.

If she left it to them, there would be no problems and Alise can go to the labyrinth city without worrying about it.

“I’ll be leaving in three days.”

“I’ll get right to it.”

Rogel bowed.

That day, she ate dinner and went to sleep early.

The next morning, She woke up to sunlight streaming in through the window.

Alise rolled up her sleeves to her usual coat.

Today, she was going to visit the Marquis.

She would be leaving the royal capital for a short while. Alise felt she should notify him, in case he had no idea.

“Alright, I’m heading out”

“Have a good day.”

After breakfast, Alice was seen off by Rogel and the rest and left the mansion.

She went directly to the Marquis’ residence, which was a few minutes’ walk away.

“Good day to you,”

Alise called out to the guard and entered the Marquis’ mansion.

From there, a squire showed her to the parlour.

“Please wait here for a moment.”

“No problem.”

She sat there and waited for the Marquis to come. The furnishings were as lavish as ever, it seemed like there were more than before.

“Sorry to have kept you waiting”

The door of the parlour opened and the Marquis entered.

‘No, please don’t worry. Thank you for your time.”

“No, that’s fine.”

After saying this, the Marquis sat down in front of Arise.

“So, what can I do for you today?

“Actually, Gilmas asked me to do something for him.”

When she said that, Arise took out the materials that Gilmas gave her from her pocket.

“I’m sure you’re not the only one. I’m afraid you’ve been forced to do something troublesome again.”

“Yes, but the reward is good, and it’s a direct request from the Guild Master.”

Alise said with a bitter smile.

“So, since I’m going to be away from the Royal Capital for a while, I thought I’d let the Marquis know as well.”

“Thank you. So, how do you plan to get to the labyrinth city?”

The marquis asked.

‘There’s a carriage heading there, I thought I’d use that.”

As adventurers travelled back and forth to the labyrinth city, there was a state-run horse-drawn carriage.

Since the fare was cheap, adventurers often used them.

“I’ll have them arrange a carriage for you. That would be more comfortable.”

The Marquis said.

“Is that fine?”

This was an unexpected offer.

“Not a problem. When are you leaving?”

“I’m planning to leave tomorrow”

“Then I’ll have the carriage sent to the house in the morning.”

“Thank you.”

From there, after exchanging a bit of small talk with the marquis, Alise left the marquis’ house.
